The inauguration of CompetenceCenter Süd in Bavaria drew over 600 guests from across industry, business, and politics.
MicroStep celebrated a major milestone with the official opening of the new CompetenceCenter Süd during the 2024 Technology Days held at MicroStep Europa in Germany. Over 600 guests from across industry, business and politics used the opportunity to see innovations from MicroStep and its partners.
A Showcase of Innovation
The centerpiece of the event was the impressive new CompetenceCenter Süd, a 3,700-square-meter facility dedicated to training, demonstrations, and warehousing. The center boasts a spacious 1,350 m² showroom displaying the latest generation of MicroStep's cutting technologies, including laser, plasma, oxyfuel, and waterjet solutions. Visitors also witnessed presentations and live demonstrations of automation systems, press brakes, deburring machines, all showcasing the company's commitment to Industry 4.0 readiness.
"Today is a very special day for us," said Johannes Ried, Managing Director of MicroStep Europa GmbH, in his welcoming speech at the evening gala. "We are celebrating another milestone here with the commissioning of our new technology and logistics center, together with friends, customers, partners, and family! In the immediate vicinity of our company headquarters, we have created a groundbreaking center for all things cutting, automation, bending, deburring, and more."

Industry Leaders Gather
The Technology Days featured not only MicroStep's innovations but also a vibrant showcase from over 20 partner companies, among them our industry-leading technology partners in the fields of cutting and filter equipment such as Hypertherm, Kjellberg, BFT, Donaldson or TEKA. Attendees enjoyed also a variety of expert presentations on topics ranging from automation and digitalization to advanced weld seam preparation techniques.
A Celebration of Success
