With the theme 'The Power of Productivity,' EuroBLECH 2024 created an ideal setting for MicroStep’s versatile portfolio.
EuroBLECH 2024, held from October 22 to 25 in Hannover, Germany, successfully concluded its 27th edition, cementing its status as the premier event for the sheet metal working industry. This year, under the theme The Power of Productivity, nearly 1,300 exhibitors from 40 countries showcased their latest technologies, innovations, and solutions across 160,000 square meters. From advanced laser cutting to automation and sustainable production methods, the event highlighted transformative trends and productivity-enhancing solutions driving the industry forward.
Powering Productivity in Sheet Metal Innovation
The event featured numerous live demonstrations, an essential aspect of EuroBLECH's appeal, with exhibitors presenting cutting-edge systems in areas like AI-driven automation, real-time process monitoring, and flexible, tool-free laser blanking systems that further exemplified the fair’s forward-looking approach.
MicroStep presented its whole range of products for cutting and bending, from high power laser to plasma, oxyfuel, drilling and milling, as well as its innovations in the waterjet segment. This wide-ranging, advanced portfolio set the company apart in Hall 13, a fact underscored by the constant buzz around our booth from the moment the doors opened on Tuesday. Each day saw dozens of meetings and hundreds of curious visitors drawn by the sheer scale of the DRM Max—our 3D cutting, drilling, and milling center – as well as the live laser and 3D waterjet demonstrations. Many stopped by simply to join in the lively atmosphere, engage in conversation, and experience our renowned hospitality.
DRM Max launch, ABC Taper Compensation, EuroBLECH Awards and more
True to tradition, EuroBLECH was packed with exciting exhibitor events—shoutout to our major suppliers, Kjellberg and Hypertherm, whose events we attended—as well as product launches, partner meetups, and presentations. At our own MicroStep booth, we hosted partners from over 20 countries, facilitating meetings with both prospective and current clients, networking, and valuable discussions. We also “casually” introduced our DRM Max, a high-performance 3D cutting, drilling, and milling center that drew significant attention. This powerhouse not only excels in 3D cutting but also handles marking, dome and beam processing, drilling, and a variety of milling tasks.
In the waterjet segment, we presented the latest generation of our WaterCut machine with a 3D bevel head and unveiled the brand-new ABC Taper Compensation head, offering straightness adjustments up to 5°. Additionally, our innovations in laser technology earned a podium finish: our German subsidiary, MicroStep Europa GmbH, took third place in the EuroBLECH Awards 2024 for Separation Technology. Congratulations to the winners and everyone who participated!
Digitalization solutions for SME's and major players
We were equally excited to showcase our digitalization solutions that emphasize our commitment to supporting sustainable manufacturing processes – including a handful of CyberFab apps for efficient management of MicroStep Production Systems. Our core CAPP app CyberFab Manager aims to be the go-to solution for managing and tracking the production of steel assemblies – including cutting, bending, deburring, welding and the logistics between workplaces. Even after the show, do not hesitate to approach us about how we can enhance your production – e.g. with the assistance from the various European Digital Innovation Hubs.
Overall, EuroBLECH 2024 was a vibrant hub for knowledge exchange, networking, and exploring innovations, leaving attendees well-equipped to drive productivity and sustainability in sheet metal working.
We sincerely look forward to the next edition!
