MicroStep´s partner in Norway is EIVA-SAFEX AS, an industrial equipment and goods supplier with focus on welding and cutting, lifting, work safety and sea farming industries. Rather than supplying ordinary consumables and equipment, the company chose to focus on going into depth with products that place high demands on expertise, documentation, training and service – including CNC cutting machines from MicroStep that EIVA supplies since 2006. This commitment to expertise has resulted in 12 branch offices across Norway with a total of 72 employees, a third of whom are service technicians.

MicroStep´s journey with EIVA-SAFEX began in 2006 by delivering a high-end 260 A plasma bevel cutting machine to an innovative mid-sized boatbuilder located in the Ålesund area on the country's west coast. The machine has proven itself in shipbuilding applications – the bevel head later received an upgrade with MicroStep´s patented auto-calibration technology (ACTG®), and the customer added a second machine in 2013 – this time a multifunctional MG cutting and drilling centre with capability to pre-drill 300 mm thick plates for oxyfuel cutting.

 
Since the first bevel machine, EIVA-SAFEX successfully supplied and supported dozens of MicroStep CNC cutting machines with plasma, oxyfuel, drilling and waterjet technologies, delivered to customers from shipbuilding and metalworking industries as well as to schools and education centers in different parts of the country. With a team of certified sales and service engineers that are regularly trained in MicroStep, EIVA-SAFEX provides qualified support of MicroStep machinery. Thanks to their extensive network of regional offices and our long-term (already 16 years long) partnership, the company has gained a stable position among suppliers of cutting-edge CNC cutting equipment in Norway.


Annual Sales Meeting 2022 – the evening „agenda”

For an annual sales & service meeting on December 5 – 7, 2022, MicroStep welcomed 8 members of EIVA SAFEX´s sales and service teams in our headquarters and development labs in Bratislava, Slovakia. The agenda included a complete product portfolio review with detailing on product strategies – apart from plasma & oxy (heavy metalworking) and material handling automation, the focus was put on state-of-the-art fiber laser solutions, production management and digitalization.
