From 23 – 26 October 2018 the 25th International Sheet Metal Working Technology Exhibition will open its doors again in Hanover, Germany. As the world’s leading exhibition for the sheet metal working industry, EuroBLECH offers a global platform for the presentation of the latest technology to a specialised audience of the industry’s key purchasers and decision makers. A total of 60,636 visitors from some 102 different countries came to Hanover in 2016 to get an overview of the latest technological developments in sheet metal processing and invest in new production equipment. 1,505 companies from 41 countries displayed their products and services on a record net exhibition space of 87,800m².
Digitised production processes have become an integral part of sheet metal working. With increased complexity that comes along with these fabrication processes, the demand for cutting-edge technology and sophisticated machines, tools and systems is growing. New materials enable the saving of resources and pave the way for the future of mobility. Thus, they are another key driver for innovation in sheet metal working. Furthermore, there are new alternative production methods that increasingly attract attention, such as additive manufacturing.
For manufacturers and suppliers of machinery and solutions for the sheet metal working industry this groundbreaking technological change offers enormous potential. Following the lead of the early adopters of new digitised processing methods, a growing number of companies are now ready to invest in these future technologies and to upgrade or renew their production lines.
